Phantom 2 Vision over Harlem explosion

A DJI Phantom 2 Vision was able to capture aerial video of the aftermath from a gas leak explosion in Harlem, New York earlier this week. The pilot used his Phantom 2 Vision to fly up above the flattened structure to capture this birds eye footage of the wreckage.

Law enforcement questioned the pilot about his drone before allowing him to launch. The pilot was cautious and made sure not to interfere with the law emergency responders. Soon after the pilot was asked to ground the Phantom in hopes of alleviating the chaos surrounding the building; but not before gaining some remarkable footage.
