Flying Quadcopter Flock

A Hungarian research team has developed the first group of drones that can fly autonomously as a group. The lead scientist, Tamas Vicsek, claims that this is the first group of multiple drones that can interact with each other.

The researchers are using quadcopters that have GPS functionality; so the Quadcopters can communicate their positioning to the other drones and coordinate their individual flight plans. The quadcopters did not fly together flawlessly until the team managed to speed up the reaction time in the quadcopters; but even after sometimes the communication between them results in a jammed signal.
