Hackers in London have created a drone that can steal data, such as passwords and locations, straight from your smartphone. The drone, appropriately codenamed Snoopy, pretends to be a mobile network that the smartphone has previously connected to, and once connected can intercept every transmission that the phone sends or receives.
During the test demonstration the drone was able to identify 150 smartphones and collect the network information as well as the GPS location. The passwords of Paypal, Amazon and Yahoo test accounts were also picked up during this demonstration.
